What is it like working in a Business Administration Apprenticeship?

A typical day in a Business Administrator role is usually made up of a variety of tasks and duties to support the wider office and assist with the smooth running of the business from an administrative point of view. For example, you could be working on a front of office reception desk meeting and greeting visitors interacting with internal and external customers. You may also be involved in streamlining and enhancing administrative processes and procedures such as by the use of excel spreadsheets, internal databases, filing systems and other IT. You will be expected to prioritise, multitask and problem solve using your initiative in a positive manner.

We are looking for motivated candidates who are keen to work in an administration, office based position in the Carlisle, Brampton or Penrith areas. Our clients range from solicitors firms, manufacturing companies, leisure businesses to accountancy practices, which allows a large range of positions and environments to consider for your apprenticeship. Beginning a career as a Business Administrator is exciting and rewarding as this can provide the stepping stone for many careers including; Office Management, PA, HR, Marketing and Finance. With System People Education you can work and study to gain a level 2 or 3 Business Admin qualification which will assist you gain a permanent role in an office environment upon graduation.  Our Apprenticeships are a min of 12 months in length and involve you completing the Level 2 or 3 (depending on ability and job role) Business Apprenticeship and studying every other week at our Carlisle classrooms.

What qualifications do i need for a Business Administration Apprentice?

To study a Level 2 Business Admin Apprenticeship you will need to hold a Level 1 or above in Maths and English & ICT(Grade 3/ D or above). You will also need a passion and desire to work in Business Administration.

To study a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship you will need to hold a Level 2 in maths and English (Grade 4/C or above)  If you do not hold a Level 2 in these subjects then assistance can be provided via a Functional Skills Level 2 qualification alongside your business qualification following an initial assessment. At assessment you will need to achieve an entry 3 level grade or higher to be considered for this (Grade D at GCSE Equiv).
