- You must be aged 16 or over
- Entry requirements depend on the role and level, but we’ll guide you through this
What You'll Be Doing
Your exact role will depend on the apprenticeship you choose, but typical duties include:
- Supporting teachers in the classroom with lessons, activities, and supervision
- Helping children with their learning, development, and wellbeing on a daily basis
- Preparing classroom materials, setting up activities, and helping organise learning resources
- Providing extra help and encouragement to individual pupils, including those with special educational needs (SEND)
- Assisting with reading, writing, numeracy, and early learning through structured and play-based activities
- Helping to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where children feel happy, supported, and able to learn
- Supporting behaviour management, safeguarding, and positive relationships in the classroom
- Working as part of a wider team of teachers, support staff, and parents to help every child succeed
