Early Years Practitioner – Level 2

If you want to work with children in an early years or education setting, this course will help you to get a head start in this rewarding sector.

This apprenticeship standard is for people who want to build a career looking after and helping develop children and young people. Upon completion you are able to advance onto a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship to further qualify you working with children.

The qualification develops the skills to work with children under supervision and covers a range of job roles in children’s settings such as nurseries and daycare centres.

Whether you want to work in a nursery or Children’s Centre, become a nanny, or maybe a teaching assistant in a school, having a recognised qualification will be essential.

We will help you find employment in a local private Nursery, Preschool, Infant, or Primary school where you will earn an  apprenticeship wage (minimum of £6.40 an hour from April 2024) and work for a minimum of 30 hours a week.

Career prospects upon completion include: working with under 5-year-olds in a nursery, school, or daycare centre.
