This funded Skills Bootcamp, supported by Enterprising Cumbria could be the ideal way to get started in a career in childcare. In just two weeks, learners gain valuable knowledge, build confidence, and take their first step towards a rewarding future working with babies and children aged 0-5 years.
What is the Early Years Educator Skills Bootcamp?
This Skills Bootcamp is a 2-week, 60-hour course delivered online by experienced tutors. It’s designed to help individuals gain the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to work in a nursery or early years setting, and prepares them to progress into an accelerated Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship.
They’ll learn about:
- Health & Safety in early years environments
- Safeguarding and children’s rights
- The importance of play and development
- Supporting children’s mental health
- Professional development in childcare settings
Who is it for?
This course is ideal for learners who:
- Are aged 19 or over and want to start a career in early years
- Already work in early years and want to upskill or progress
- Want to move into an Early Years Educator apprenticeship quickly

During the Skills Bootcamp, learners will build essential knowledge and practical awareness to support young children’s learning, development, and wellbeing in an early years setting.

Entry Requirements
- Learners must be aged 19 or over
