About Stanwix School

About the Role

This apprenticeship offers the chance to join the Reception team at Stanwix School and work directly with children aged 0–7. You will support children’s learning and development, gain practical experience, and achieve a nationally recognised Level 2 Early Years qualification.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and supervise children’s play and educational activities
• Promote independence, social skills, and language development
• Assist with planning, preparation, and delivery of early years provision
• Follow health & safety and safeguarding procedures
• Support children with additional needs (SEND)
• Work as part of a collaborative and professional team

Training & Development

• Delivery: Blended learning, including:
• Virtual tutor-led workshops (approx. 2 per month)
• Self-directed online modules
• Regular workplace visits from your tutor
• Progression:
  • Functional Skills in English and Maths if required
  • End-Point Assessment upon completion

Entry Requirements

• Ideally GCSE Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English
• If you do not currently hold these, Functional Skills support is available
