About the role
We are seeking a caring and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Nursery and Infant school in a temporary, full-time role, Monday to Friday (8.30am–3.05pm), starting after half term and continuing until the end of the summer term.
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide consistent, nurturing support to two part-time nursery pupils, helping them feel secure, understood, and ready to engage in their early learning experiences.
In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to provide tailored support for pupils with ADHD and Autism. You will play a key part in helping them access learning, develop social skills, and build confidence within a structured and supportive environment. Strong, positive relationships and a calm, patient approach will be essential.
Key Responsibilities

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to two part-time nursery pupils

Implement strategies to support the pupils

Help pupils access learning through adapted, play-based activities

Support social, emotional, and behavioural development

Follow and contribute to individual support plans

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure consistent support

Monitor progress and share feedback with the wider team

Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence

Uphold safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times
Entry Requirements
Experience working with young children in a nursery or infant setting
Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly ADHD and Autism (essential)
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow structured routines and implement targeted strategies
Relevant Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all children
