About the role
We are seeking a caring and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to an individual pupil on a temporary, part-time, mornings-only basis, starting as soon as possible until Easter, with the possibility of extension.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child’s school experience. Working closely with the class teacher and wider staff team, you will provide consistent, tailored support to help the pupil access learning, build confidence and feel secure within the classroom environment.
We are looking for someone patient, attentive and reliable, who understands the importance of building positive relationships and offering calm, structured support.
Key Responsibilities

Provide dedicated 1:1 support during morning sessions

Adapt tasks and activities to meet the pupil’s individual needs

Support the pupil’s engagement in lessons and classroom routines

Encourage independence while offering appropriate guidance

Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

Liaise with the class teacher and SENCO regarding progress and support strategies

Assist with monitoring and recording progress where required

Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times
Entry Requirements
Experience working with children in a school setting
Understanding of supporting pupils with additional needs (desirable)
Patient, calm and nurturing approach
Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils
Good communication and teamwork skills
Reliable and committed to maintaining consistency for the pupil
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
