About the role
Little VIPs are an exceptional Day Care setting who are looking to recruit a brand new Early Years apprentice to join their dedicated and successful team. If you have a passion for caring for and supporting the development of young children aged 9 months to 5 years this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
The role will be Monday – Friday, full year.
Little VIPs is 5.5 miles South of Penrith, there are no regular public transport links so the ability to drive will be essential.
Essential criteria for this position includes, having excellent interpersonal and communication skills, passionate about working with young children and a strong commitment to teamwork and development.
Key Responsibilities

To provide a full range of play-based activities allowing each child to develop to their full potential, following the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

To help children and team members maintain our excellent hygiene standards at all times, e.g. Nappies and changing, feeding, toileting, changing clothes, preparing snacks and meals.

Establish an excellent knowledge of each child and family, developing and maintain good relations and communications with parents/carers to facilitate each child’s individual needs.

To ensure that the equipment (inside and out) are appropriate for the age and stage of the children for whom they are intended and that they are kept well maintained and clean at all times.

Work effectively as part of a team.

Training & Development
This Level 3 apprenticeship is expected to last a period of around 17 months. You will attend live tutor led sessions 2 days every month (1 day every other week which will be via ZOOM) and participate in online interactive learning via our bespoke innovative platform OLLIE. Your Tutor will also visit you in the workplace for 1-2-1 Tutor sessions during the program. System People have fantastic pass rates and won the “BEST Training Provider Award” at the Golden Apples in 2019 and have been awarded a “Good” rating by Ofsted 2021.
Entry Requirements
You may need to have achieved a GCSE grade 4/C (or equivalent) in Maths and English by the end this programme, therefore if you do not already hold a grade 4 in these subjects, you will be required to carry out a short Maths and English Assessment to see if we are able to offer you Functional skills support to reach a Level 2 (grade C/4 equivalent) by the end of the apprenticeship.
