About the role
Victoria Infant & Nursery School is looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join their friendly team as an Early Years Apprentice. This is a wonderful opportunity to begin or continue your career in early years education, supporting young children as they learn, play, and grow in a safe and nurturing environment.
As part of the team, you’ll help create a welcoming and stimulating setting where children aged 2-5 feel happy, valued and motivated to learn. You’ll assist with planning and delivering fun, engaging activities both indoors and outdoors, and learn how to observe and support children’s development. You will also get hands on experience, support children with SEND.
You’ll work closely with experienced practitioners who will guide and support you throughout your apprenticeship, helping you gain the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality care and education for every child.

Key Responsibilities

Upon successful completion of the course, there may be the opportunity to join the team on a permanent basis.
For continued CPD, you could also progress onto a higher level apprenticeship.
Training & Development
This Level 2 apprenticeship is expected to last a period of between 12 –15 months. You will attend live tutor led sessions 2 days every month (1 day every other week which will be via ZOOM) and participate in online interactive learning via our bespoke innovative platform OLLIE. Your Tutor will also visit you in the workplace for 1-2-1 Tutor sessions during the programme.
Entry Requirements
You will need to have achieved a GCSE grade 4/C (or equivalent) in Maths and English by the end of this programme. Therefore, if you do not already hold a grade 4/C in these subjects, you will be required to carry out a short Maths and English Assessment to see if we are able to offer you Functional Skills support to reach a Level 2 (grade C/4 equivalent).
