About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team at Warwick Bridge Primary School from September. We are looking for a Level 2 or Level 3 apprentice to work across nursery and reception supporting our pupils to achieve and succeed.

We are a busy and vibrant school where the children’s needs always come first. Our staff are hardworking and passionate about ensuring all our pupil’s needs are met encouraging their academic, social and emotional development thrives.

If you have a genuine desire to work with children, are able to build supportive and professional relationships and have a positive character this could be the perfect job role for you!

We are looking for a confident and hard working individual who has a minimum of grade 4/C in maths and English. You must be willing to undertake any further training required that will help you to support our pupils.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the class teachers to set up and clear away learning activities.

  • Support whole class teaching.

  • Lead small group sessions planned by the class teacher.

  • Work on a 1:1 basis with pupils that require additional support.

  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for all pupils.

  • Keep detailed records as required.

  • Maintain the ethos of the school and provide a positive role model for learning and behaviour.

  • Playground duties.

  • Support with out of school trips.

Your future career with us

After the successful completion of this apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity to progress to a higher level apprenticeship

Training & Development

You will attend live tutor led sessions 2 days every month (1 day every other week which will be via Zoom) and participate in online interactive learning via our bespoke innovative platform OLLIE. Your Tutor will also visit you in the workplace for 1-2-1 Tutor sessions during the programme.

Entry Requirements

You will need to have achieved a GCSE grade 4/C (or equivalent) in Maths and English by the end of this programme. Therefore, if you do not already hold a grade 4/C in these subjects, you will be required to carry out a short Maths and English Assessment to see if we are able to offer you Functional Skills support to reach a Level 2 (grade C/4 equivalent).
