About the role
Victoria Infant & Nursery School is looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join their friendly team as an Early Years Apprentice. This is a wonderful opportunity to begin or continue your career in early years education, supporting young children as they learn, play, and grow in a safe and nurturing environment.
As part of the team, you’ll help create a welcoming and stimulating setting where children feel happy, valued, and motivated to learn. You’ll assist with planning and delivering fun, engaging activities both indoors and outdoors, and learn how to observe and support children’s development. You will also get hands on experience, support children with SEND.
You’ll work closely with experienced practitioners who will guide and support you throughout your apprenticeship, helping you gain the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality care and education for every child.
Whether you’re starting out at Level 2 or progressing to Level 3, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn from a dedicated team and make a real difference in the early learning experiences of the children at Victoria Infant & Nursery School.
Key Responsibilities

Upon successful completion of the course, there may be the opportunity to join the team on a permanent basis.
For continued CPD, you could also progress onto our Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner apprenticeship.
Training & Development
This Level 3 apprenticeship is expected to last a period of around 14 months. You will attend live tutor led sessions 2 days every month (1 day every other week which will be via ZOOM) and participate in online interactive learning via our bespoke innovative platform OLLIE. Your Tutor will also visit you in the workplace for 1-2-1 Tutor sessions during the program. System People have fantastic pass rates and won the “BEST Training Provider Award” at the Golden Apples in 2019 and have been awarded a “Good” rating by Ofsted 2021.
Entry Requirements
You will need to have achieved a GCSE grade 4/C (or equivalent) in Maths and English by the end this program, therefore if you do not already hold a grade 4 in these subjects, you will be required to carry out a short Maths and English Assessment to see if we are able to offer you Functional skills support to reach a Level 2 (grade C/4 equivalent) by the end of the program.
