About the role

Friezland Pre-School are looking for a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprentice to join their fantastic team! We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, caring and ready to get involved in all aspects of pre-school life. This is a brilliant opportunity to gain your Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification while working hands-on with children aged 6 months to 4 years.

Ideally, you’ll already hold a Level 2 Early Years qualification, but the right candidate without this will still be considered. We’re looking for someone with great communication skills, a positive outlook, and the confidence to interact with parents and staff. Creativity, initiative and the ability to share new ideas are also important for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting care routines, snack and lunchtimes

  • Helping with storytime, play and activities

  • Setting up and packing away resources in our community space

  • Contributing to risk assessments and keeping children safe

  • Keeping our space clean and tidy for the children

Your future career with us

Upon successful completion of the course, there may be the opportunity to join the team on a permanent basis. For continued CPD, you could also progress onto our Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner apprenticeship.

Training & Development

This Level 3 apprenticeship is expected to last a period of around 17 months. You will attend live tutor led sessions 2 days every month (1 day every other week which will be via Zoom) and participate in online interactive learning via our bespoke innovative platform OLLIE. Your Tutor will also visit you in the workplace for 1-2-1 Tutor sessions during the program. System People have fantastic pass rates and won the “BEST Training Provider Award” at the Golden Apples in 2019 and have been awarded a “Good” rating by Ofsted 2021.

Entry Requirements

You will need to have achieved a GCSE grade 4/C (or equivalent) in Maths and English by the end this programme, therefore if you do not already hold a grade 4 in these subjects, you will be required to carry out a short Maths and English Assessment to see if we are able to offer you Functional skills support to reach a Level 2 (grade C/4 equivalent) by the end of the programme.
