About St Cuthberts Catholic Primary School

We are a welcoming and friendly Catholic school committed to supporting all children to be the best they can be. We are committed to creating a wholesome learning culture where children are happy, engaged and enthusiastic about their learning.

We have recently been graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted, with particular strengths identified as behaviour, pupil welfare and development, teaching quality, and leadership and management.

Our Catholic ethos encourages all children to develop into well-mannered, confident, and responsible individuals. We encourage children to treat others with care and kindness and give great attention to the spiritual and moral flourishing of our children. We are a small school with a family atmosphere, and our staff work hard to support and promote the happiness and well-being of the children at all times.

  • Supportive and Inclusive Team

A supportive and inclusive team creates a positive working environment where staff can collaborate, share ideas and learn from one another, ultimately benefiting the whole school community.

  • Excellent Learning and Development

The school’s strong focus on learning and development provides opportunities for staff to build their skills, take on new challenges and continue to grow professionally within a supportive environment.

  • Make a Real difference

The opportunity to make a real difference to pupils’ lives is a key reason to choose the school. Supporting children to develop confidence, achieve their potential and feel valued can have a lasting and meaningful impact.
