About the role
We are working with a large, vibrant secondary school with a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and learning, they are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled French-speaking MFL Teacher to join their team on a full-time, temporary (supply) basis for the Summer Term.
This role will begin after the Easter break. You will be teaching French across Key Stages 3 and 4, playing an important role in supporting students as they continue their progress towards key assessments and examinations.
You will be joining a supportive and well-established Modern Foreign Languages department, where collaboration and sharing of ideas are encouraged. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire a love of languages and help students build confidence in their communication skills in French.
We are looking for a teacher who brings energy, creativity, and strong subject knowledge to the classroom, and who is passionate about helping students succeed. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an early career teacher, you will be well supported by a friendly and dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging French lessons across KS3 and KS4

Support students in developing their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills

Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress

Prepare students for GCSE examinations where applicable

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND

Work collaboratively with colleagues within the MFL department

Contribute to departmental planning and resource development
Entry Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Ability to teach French confidently across KS3 and KS4
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for languages
Good classroom management skills
Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
A collaborative and positive approach to working within a team
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
