About the role
We are pleased to be recruiting for a confident and capable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming school in a small market town. This is a temporary, full-time, long-term position starting as soon as possible, offering a varied and rewarding role across the school.
Mornings will be spent covering PPA across the whole school, delivering planned lessons and maintaining high standards of learning and behaviour. The afternoons will be spent supporting within the Nursery provision, working with the youngest children as part of a dedicated Early Years team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA who enjoys variety, is comfortable working across different age groups, and can build positive relationships with pupils and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver pre-planned lessons across the school during PPA cover (mornings)

Manage classrooms confidently and maintain a positive learning environment

Provide feedback to class teachers on pupil progress and engagement

Support teaching and learning within the Nursery (afternoons)

Work with small groups and individual children to support development

Help to create and maintain a stimulating and well-organised learning environment

Support children’s social, emotional and behavioural development

Follow school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour procedures

Work collaboratively with staff across all year groups
Entry Requirements
HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience
Experience working across primary age ranges
Confidence in leading whole-class learning
Experience within Early Years or Nursery settings desirable
Strong classroom management skills
Good organisational and communication skills
A positive, proactive and adaptable approach
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
