About the role
We’re looking for an organised and friendly School Administrator to join a primary school in Maryport on a part-time supply basis. Starting in January, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy school office and can confidently support day-to-day operations.
You’ll be the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff, helping to keep everything running smoothly each morning. The school is looking for someone who is reliable, approachable, and able to pick up new systems quickly.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 12:00pm.
Key Responsibilities

Welcoming visitors and managing the school reception area

Answering phone calls and responding to emails

Supporting attendance recording and daily admin tasks

Maintaining pupil records and updating information

Assisting with filing, photocopying, and general office duties

Providing support to the wider office team as needed
Entry Requirements
Previous experience in an administrative role (school experience preferred)
Confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm during busy periods
A friendly and professional approach when dealing with staff, pupils, and parents
