System People Education are the fastest growing education recruitment and teaching supply agency who have been finding work for local Teachers and TA’s since June 2012. We were the first teaching agency with offices in Cumbria and have grown organically, mainly from kind referrals from local teachers who have found work through us. We ‘meet’ with you to plan in an individual way and our experienced Education team will use this information to offer work – we all have local knowledge and value our relationships with candidates and schools.

About the role
We’re looking for experienced and enthusiastic Secondary Teachers to join our supply team, supporting schools across Barrow and the surrounding area. We welcome teachers from all subject backgrounds, particularly those with experience in Maths, Science, or Humanities. This role offers a great opportunity to teach a variety of classes, gain experience in different school settings, and make a real difference to pupils’ learning while maintaining a healthy work–life balance.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and well-planned lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils

Follow school policies on behaviour management and assessment

Adapt teaching to meet the needs of individual learners

Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Mark and assess work when required

Work collaboratively with school staff to support pupils’ progress
Entry Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching in UK secondary schools
Strong classroom management skills
Excellent subject knowledge, particularly in Maths, Science, or Humanities
A flexible and reliable approach to work
