About the role
We are seeking an experienced Year 3/4 Teacher to join an oversubscribed and highly regarded rural primary school on a full-time temporary basis, starting in September for the Autumn Term.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a welcoming school community with a strong reputation for providing high-quality education and a nurturing environment for its pupils. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 3/4 class, delivering engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning while supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
The school is looking for a teacher who can quickly establish positive relationships, maintain high expectations, and create a classroom environment where children feel confident, supported and motivated to succeed.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum

Teach and support a mixed Year 3/4 class, adapting learning to meet individual needs

Assess, monitor and record pupil progress

Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

Differentiate learning to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum

Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management

Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and school leaders

Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing

Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate

Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times
Entry Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 2
Experience teaching mixed-age classes is desirable
Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
Good organisational and communication skills
A professional, adaptable and proactive approach
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
