System People Education are the fastest growing education recruitment and teaching supply agency who have been finding work for local Teachers and TA’s since June 2012. We were the first teaching agency with offices in Cumbria and have grown organically, mainly from kind referrals from local teachers who have found work through us. We ‘meet’ with you to plan in an individual way and our experienced Education team will use this information to offer work – we all have local knowledge and value our relationships with candidates and schools.

About the role
We are looking for a warm, supportive, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our cheerful primary school community. This part-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–12:30pm, making it ideal for someone seeking a rewarding position within a friendly primary setting.
You’ll be working closely with class teachers to provide high-quality support, helping to create a nurturing learning environment where every child feels valued. The role offers a varied mix of classroom-based support and one-to-one work with pupils who benefit from a little extra guidance.
Key Responsibilities

Supporting the class teacher during lessons and activities

Working with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning

Providing one-to-one support to pupils as directed

Helping to prepare resources and tidy the classroom

Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional well-being

Supporting children with additional needs under teacher guidance

Entry Requirements
Experience working with children (school or childcare setting preferred)
A warm, patient, and nurturing approach
