About the role

We are seeking an adaptable and approachable Primary Year 3/4 Teacher to join a bustling, vibrant, large school community in a temporary, part-time role for one day per week (Friday), starting after February half term. This is a lovely opportunity to become part of a supportive and collaborative team, helping to provide continuity and high-quality learning for pupils in lower Key Stage 2.

In this role, you will deliver engaging and well-planned lessons that support pupils’ academic progress and personal development. You’ll build positive relationships with children, work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth handover and planning, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum for Year 3/4

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

  • Assess and provide constructive feedback on pupil progress

  • Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities and needs

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity of learning

  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and support staff as needed

  • Contribute to staff meetings, planning sessions, and school events when appropriate

  • Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote the school’s values at all times

Your future career with us

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching in Key Stage 2

Strong knowledge of the national curriculum

Excellent communication and organisational skills

A positive, patient, and supportive approach to behaviour and wellbeing

Commitment to inclusive practice and high expectations for all pupils
