Candidate Profile Notes
Provide a rounded profile of the candidate to support their apprenticeship application.
Ask the candidate which pronoun they would prefer to be known by, e.g. (he/she or they etc). Construct the profile notes using the correct pronoun. Give the name of this candidate and what type of apprenticeship they are interested in and what type of employer/employment/setting they are looking for. Describe where they are in their education, e.g. school leaver, GCSE/A Level or a career changer.
Remember to include:
- Personal details: preferred pronouns, name, type of apprenticeship, and employer/setting they are looking for.
- Background: current stage (school leaver, further education, career changer, etc.).
- Interests & suitability: reasons for interest, key skills, personality traits, relevant GCSEs/A Levels, work experience, hobbies, or volunteering.
- Commitments: availability to start, ability to travel (driving, public transport, locations they can access), and flexibility on employer type or setting.
Recruitment Notes
Record any notes related to the candidate’s recruitment process. Include details of interviews, assessment outcomes, employer feedback, and suitability for specific vacancies. Capture any actions taken or next steps required in the recruitment journey.
IAG (Information, Advice & Guidance)
Summarise the Information, Advice and Guidance provided to the candidate. Note discussions around apprenticeship options, career pathways, progression routes, funding, and learner responsibilities. Record how the candidate responded and any decisions made.
Additional Support
Detail any additional support needs identified for the candidate. This may include learning support, safeguarding considerations, adjustments for disabilities, wellbeing support, or any agreed reasonable adjustments. Outline actions in place to ensure the candidate is fully supported.
