National Apprenticeship Week 2023 – Teaching Assistant Apprentice Testimonials

This National Apprenticeship Week we spoke to two recent passes from our Apprenticeship programme! Both of these wonderful learners have been working at local Primary Schools, gaining experience on the job while they learned with us. Being an Apprentice is an incredibly rewarding accomplishment, and we love to see our learners succeeding. Check out these Teaching Assistant Apprentice Testimonials below!

Laura McGough

Laura just passed her Teaching Assistant EPA with us on Monday whilst working at Brampton Primary School.

How have you found working with Brampton Primary?

Brampton Primary has been a brilliant school to complete my apprenticeship with. The staff have been extremely supportive and I’ve never felt scared to ask a question.

How have you found the support from System People?

Absolutely amazing towards the end of my apprenticeship and super helpful on the lead up to my EPA. I have felt as though the sessions were full of information and that helped me complete all assignments.

What did you enjoy about learning with System People?

I enjoyed the discussion within the cohort and comparing our different job roles to help us complete assignments.

Were there any standout lessons/days with System People?

When we practiced our EPA questions with each other and had the opportunity to discuss the pass and distinction criteria with our tutor.

What are your plans going forward?

Currently staying at Brampton Primary until Easter while also applying for other Teaching Assistant jobs in Carlisle.

Congratulations, Laura! We are so proud of all the hard work you put in and wish you all the luck in your future endeavours.
